Tietomassa has a certified ISO 9001:2008 compliant management system.

DNV certified the Tietomassa management system in August 2002. Tietomassa was one of the first software companies in Finland to certify management system according to the ISO 9001:2000 standard.

Tietomassa business system is designed to support the everyday work practices and improvement of operations. Processes are improved continuously to make sure that Tietomassa can provide its customers with good software and make working in Tietomassa rewarding.

Tietomassa software projects follow the plan-do-check-act cycle design where software design, implementation, testing and deployment phases overlap each other. Software is built around a core, features are gradually added and tested. Software development is implemented with the whole in mind from the beginning of the project.

Tietomassa uses software development methods that leave room for creativity. Tietomassa staff develops software together, commenting on each other´s work. Also the customer has the opportunity to be closely involved in the software projects, from the definition and design of software to its deployment.

In its software projects Tietomassa aims at clear and maintainable systems which as far as possible are self-documenting. In employees´ and customer´s close cooperation the system errors can be found in early stage, so that they do not burden the client at the deployment phase.
